If you are a regular visitor to libraries, you have probably already encountered the "biblioboxes". They are a lockable collection containers, to which borrowed books can be returned at any time. Due to the busyness of many readers, this service became very quickly popular and used. However, what would you say about the possibility not only to return the book, but also to borrow without any restrictions and just when it suits you?
It is these benefits that our new EK 10100 - BiblioMat device offers libraries and their readers. It is an automatic box designed for contactless dispensing and returning borrowed books in 24/7 mode. It consists of one column with the control panel and one or more columns with boxes of different sizes. Thanks to the modular design, we can create the device exactly according to the requirements of each customer, including the color design.
BiblioMat has been designed to allow easy operation not only for the staff but also for the readers themselves. After processing the request to reserve specific books, the reader will receive a notification together with access data. The reader enters this data into the device using a touch screen monitor or by scanning a code from a received message. After that the system automatically opens the assigned box and makes the reserved books available.
The EK 10100 - BiblioMat is also an effective solution for increased frequency of attendance in libraries before and during exam time. Because the BiblioMat can be operated as a stand-alone, it is also ideal for use in more remote areas where a permanent library is not available.
