In current conditions, the traditional model of a central hospital pharmacy is largely inadequate. The growing demands for the economic use of designated spaces and the excessive burden on the staff cause increased risks to error rates, records and to the overall overview of stockpiles of pharmaceuticals and specialized medical equipment and supplies (SMEs). The above-mentioned facts cause an increase in costs, overloading of personnel and the risk of interruption to the traceability of records of medication and SMEs.

The future of modern pharmacies is increasingly associated with the use of automation devices that are interconnected into a complex whole. Modern semi-automatic and automatic storage technologies, including their integration into the information systems of hospitals, or pharmacies, will significantly increase the efficiency of processes, the accuracy and addressability of dispensing items and reduce the error rate of dispensing. They bring cost savings, ease of work and optimization of the economy of operation.

Our company offers the following devices for the automation of central and public hospital pharmacies:

» EK 7003 - PharmaStore: a mechanised storage system intended for storage and subsidization of entire packages of medicines, individual articles (selection for patient / department) and SMEs. It works on the principle of vertically rotating shelves inside the device. The design of the system makes maximum use of the height of the room and minimizes the requirements for the built-up area. It is thus possible to store several times more material in the same space than with standard storage in racks.

» EK 7740 - LogiX: a complex automatic stacker designed for efficient stocking up and unloading of SMEs in plastic crates. The system consists of a robotic stacker, fixed racks for storing crates, conveyor belt and elevator systems at the input and output of the stacker. Using the LogiX device eliminates the need for physical effort when handling crates.

» EK 7810 - LogiPharm: an automatic machine for fully automatic dispensing of medication in boxes based on a request generated by the system or staff. The device is primarily intended for medium and fast turnover drugs in central and hospital pharmacies. The unattended robotic manipulator ensures 100% accuracy when issuing items based on batch number, expiration date, or other optional parameters.
