Yesterday (February 17, 2026), we welcomed an important international delegation to our company, KOVAL SYSTEMS, a. s. – Swedish Ambassador Annika Ben David and British Ambassador Bilal Zahid. Their visit confirmed the international importance of the CV90 MkIV program, in which we participate as a strategic partner of BAE Systems Hägglunds.
The CV90 program is currently one of the most significant modernization projects of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic (OS SR) and also represents a strong impulse for the Slovak defense industry. We are proud that KOVAL SYSTEMS, a. s., is part of this international supply chain and participates in the development and production of components for CV90 vehicles, including the supply of complete turrets.
During the visit, the ambassadors appreciated the high professional level and technological capabilities not only of our company, but also of the participating Slovak companies as a whole. They particularly highlighted that the cooperation is built on trust, quality, and long-term partnership. At the same time, they emphasized that Slovak industry is capable of competing in a demanding international environment and even be a full-fledged partner in the development of top defense technologies.
This cooperation is of strategic importance to our company. As Ján Michálek, Business Director and Chairman of the Board of KOVAL SYSTEMS, a. s., stated: "Participation in the CV90 program has enabled us to become part of a global network of suppliers and opens the door to international markets as well. It is proof that even a Slovak company can consistently deliver top-tier solutions for one of the most advanced combat systems in Europe."
The program also involves significant active participation
by Slovak companies, with domestic firms accounting for up to 40% of the
contract value. In addition to our company, the ambassadors also visited other
partners involved in the program.
