Sand blasting and metallization of surface

When the surface is blasted, the undesirable fractions, such as grease, burrs, forge imperfections and other mechanical impurities are removal from the semi-product surface followed by their final treatment. The sand blasting of the part permits better coating adhesion to the surface. When we sand blast the large-sized workpieces, we use the moving sand-blasting booth with transiting profile in size of 5 x 5 x 15 meters. Since exterior parts is exposed to outdoor environment, their surface needs corrosion protection up to the C5 degree, and so it is metallized with various metal-molten wires, such as Al/Zn, Cu, Zn. The surface treated by metallization has the quality comparable to galvanizing.

SAF type TTK + MK 15 x 5 x 5/ex

The TTK + MK 15x5x5/ex compressed-air blasting booth is a powerful facility pre-treating large-sized welded workpieces, casts and the carbon steel profiles. Using the blast cabin, we make high-quality surfaces for powder coating and wet process coating. The surface of products that needs high anticorrosive treatment with the C5 - M rate of aggressive environment corrosion can be treated by electrometalization. 

The metal surface blasting with the minimum Ra 4 mic. is the most effective pre-treatment prior to coating.  We use blasting medium which is a sharp-edged metallic abrasive of Zinc or its alloys. All the motors and wiring are Ex version according to the ATEX standard. 

The blasting unit has manual control and operation. The 3-degree separation unit with the filter removes the dust from the abrasive. The powerful filtering facility is 99.99-percent efficient. The heavy weight workpieces with the maximum 5-ton weight capacity are loaded and moved into the jet boom in rail carts. The carts can be loaded either by a forklift or by a bridge crane.

Before blasting, the highly greased surface of large-sized workpieces can be degreased in the degreasing booth using the Ferofos special cleaning agent. The degreasing booth is of the same size as blasting boot and it is situated in front of the blasting booth exit.
