On the robotic workstation, there is the ABB’s IRB 2400L robot on the platform with the horizontal-axis-of-rotation positioner used to weld workpieces with simpler placed welded joints. The table with two workstations (viz. STN1 and STN2) holds the positioner.
The clamping table is on horizontal-axis-of-rotation positioner, which allows two simultaneous operations in one working cycle, i.e. the welding process is carried out in the workplace STN 1 and the workpiece is prepared and clamped in the workplace STN 2. The material handling system eliminates non-working time in order to increase productivity of welding process. The machine’s robust structure, which is constructed of the smallest number of parts, contributes to high reliability and long service life.
