ABB IRB 2400L with 2 positioners

It is a robotized workstation with the ABB’s IRB 2400L robot on the platform with the 2 positioners, each of which offers 2 axes of rotation. 

The first positioner is the IRB 500A desk-type positioner with the 500-kilogram weight capacity and the maximum 1450-millimeter welding diameter. The second one is the console-type positioner with 1000-kilogram weight capacity, allowing welding small welds with the maximum 2500-millimeter welding diameter. Both of them make the machine useful for variable operations, especially for the production of larger and smaller workpieces in which the synchronized robots-positioners motion allows welding in hard-to-reach areas. 

The IRB 2400L offers you increased production rates and  faster delivery of manufactured products to your customers. It is the best industrial robot characterized by the high reliability, accuracy and positioning repeatability. The unique motion control of the robot optimizes the acceleration and retardation, which results in shortest cycle time possible. 

The positioner of the ABB IRB 500 is designed for workpieces that need to be processed in two axes of rotation. The motion of positioners is fully synchronized with the robot in order to make all welded joints with the optimum welding position ensuring high-quality welding. The dynamic modeling allows fast acceleration and rapid motion, which results in shortest cycle time possible. The model IRB 500 A is suitable for applications using one or two workstations. 

The console-type positioner, which is equipped with the clamping-flange with 3000-millimeter maximum distance and a 1000-millimeter horizontal axis distance from the floor, enables machining of larger welded surfaces in the hard-to-reach areas.
