The main components of Haas machines are made of thermally calcined grey alloy and designed by the Finite Element Method with regards to robustness and stable temperature to provide maximum vibration and shock absorption during operation.
The frequency-controlled brushless dual-drive main spindle with vector control ensures high acceleration and fast braking and so there is minimal time loss when the tool is replaced. The drive allows 150-percent overload for 15 minutes and it helps to optimize the slip between the stator and the engine rotor with the vector-control doubles the torque at low revolutions.
The devices are equipped with linear roller lines in all axes. This direction provides high traction dynamics with minimal friction and precise coordinate positioning. The linear roller bearings are equipped with wipers and all lines are waterproof and dustproof against machining splinters and telescopic cover dirt. The linear roller bearing lubrication is automatic and central.
The Haas centers use high-quality ball screws. They are clamped at both ends to provide maximum parallelism. The temperature sensor on ball screw nuts on the axes with electronic compensation algorithm feedback forms and changes the position of the ball screw. This ensures the machining process with the consistent accuracy.
The spindle has the stable temperature thanks to flow coolant on the spindle block. The coolant is a cutting fluid which lowers down the machining area temperature and shows the machine temperature. The spindle cooling is a compensated temperature error at the Y and-axes positions.
The gear wheels are made of hardened steel 8620-type, the gearing is nitrided and then precisely ground. The highly precise layout ensures smooth operation even at high revolutions. Gearbox has an independent lubrication system with oil tank. The vibrations are eliminated by insulating layout with the polyurethane protrusions. The gear is automatically selected by the control system according to the selected speed to get maximum torque.
